Jozani Forest

Tour overview

It is a unique forest nature reserve in Zanzibar Island and over more than decades has been a home of rare species of animals like the red Colobus monkey which is endemic to the Zanzibar.
Other species found in the forest such a sky monkey bushbaby, butterfly and birds. The Zanzibar leopard is said to have existed.
Though, it has not been sighted for a long period. Some people connect it to mythical status. The forest also offers endemic bird species like Fish Turaco and the other hidden creatures that are most active at night and very rare to see them in a day
